Zion Lutheran School Parent – Teacher League

Purpose:

PTL is one of the links between parents and teachers, which secures home support for the aims of the school and which enables both home and school to help children grow as Christians.

The meetings are planned to assist parents and teachers in the cooperative Christian training of children by being informative, educational, inspirational, and sometimes entertaining. The success of the PTL will be enhances with the regular attendance of its members.

Family events, such as the Fun Fair, the All Family Dance, and others are planned to provide an opportunity for whole families to enjoy fun-filled activities with their fellow Christians from the larger “family” of Zion Lutheran School.

Objectives:

1. To cooperate with the Christian home and church in educating the children, that they might be a credit to their parents, good witnesses for the church, and worthy citizens of the community.

2. To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate more effectively in Christian training.

3. To help parents, through a program of parent education, to increasingly understand and appreciate their children, and to provide parents with skills needed for Christian training.

4. To support the worthy endeavor of the school to further Christian education and mission work.

5. To assist in securing the necessary equipment for the school.
